Dear Dr. Weinberger, Bethany and Dennis,
Apologies for the delay in updating you, things have been hectic here.
But it is just brilliant news on the cough, it is completely gone.
We had a few days where he still sounded quite croaky and it was clear he was holding the cough back and still having to work on it, but that isn't the case now, he sounds like his usual self again. our son says himself he is cured! I still can't quite believe how quickly it all happened.
He coughed yesterday (just a normal cough) and he looked at me and smiled and laughed and said "that was just a normal cough mum", and then he did an impression of what his other cough used to be like, it was quite accurate,
it did sound very different. It is so nice that he clearly feels so in control now and can tell the difference, and lovely that he can now look back at how he used to be with humour.
At the time it was really getting him down so it's amazing how transformed he is. I am amazed at how mature he has been about it all as he is only 7.

Hope you are all well and you have enjoyed your holiday Dr Weinberger. It's amazing that I got in touch just as you were getting together across the country. I had to google the distance between where you live - America is enormous compared to the UK.
I also meant to say that he wanted a watch - he has just learnt to tell the time - and so I bought him a Minecraft watch, that was his reward for doing so well with the cough.
He would very much like a call with Bethany. He has been making her a certificate to say thank you. I asked him yesterday whether I could send it to you, but he said it is not finished yet.
He has just been learning at school about safety and the internet and the dangers of meeting people online, so he told his class that he is allowed to meet Bethany!
We will have to work out logistics in terms of the time difference for a call, but we have school holidays over the next 2 weeks for Easter so he will be around more during the day if there are certain times and days that work better for Bethany.
With very best wishes to you ,
Mum V.
